Day 7 ... right on schedule our first radish harvest. The colors are flavors of this microgreen are off the charts. We had some on a fresh salad of lettuce and tomatoes from our container garden, the vibrant taste and colors transformed it into something special ... Our first harvest of radish sprouts yielded over 2 full plastic containers. Photo on left shows the tray just before the harvest and is indicative of the colors and sturdiness of the plants and in such a short period of time. The photo on the right represents one container of two with the clipped microgreens and highlights the colorful stems in addition to the deep greens of the leaves. I believe if we let this grow out to the 10 day level we might have gotten to the secondary leaves. The plants were already way above the tray sides.
We planted another tray right after this with the same batch of radish seeds in our coir with fresh worm castings to see if there will be any differences in the crops. Target is another 7 days to chart the differences ....
