Three Ways to Micro Farm

Indoor microgreen growing presents challenges that are similar but yet different from other indoor challenges. We are basically dealing with two phases of plant growing, germination and early leaf production. We have researched and adapted multiple systems and present three distinct systems for your indoor growing pleasure. Microgreens are a great source of fresh food and nutrition, our MicroFarms give you a convenient was to grow them.

1. Self watering coir based - taking the SIP (Sub Irrigated Planter) design and adapting it to our tray based MicroFarm, we have a “soil” like sustainable coir grow media that is similar to most commercial microgreen producers but in a much more convenient size.
2. Hydroponic cellulose based - our grow kit features high moisture holding cellulose configured in small punnets (containers). This hydroponic system produces 4 nice portions per tray.
3. Hybrid Hydroponic - taking a Kratky based hydroponic system, our Hybrid Hydroponic MicroFarm utilizes a coir based hydroponic mat that uses natural latex as the binder. The mat is reusable and the natural expanded clay balls serve to elevate the mat above the water level in the tank.
